Helping workers impacted by mental illness in a helpful and cost-effective way is now a priority in most workplaces. Since the establishment of the ‘National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace’ in 2013, more time, effort, and energy have been put into helping make workplaces psychologically safe and breaking down the stigmas over mental health in the workplace.
Through its mandate to help build sustainable communities, The Co-operators embarked on an enterprise-wide mental health initiative aimed at supporting the mental wellness of its workplace as well as the workplaces of its group benefit clients. Because of this initiative, The Co-operators partnered with WorldCare International, Inc. to research the opportunity for mental health second opinion consultations.
At the Benefits and Pensions Monitor ‘Benefits 2018’ session this March, The Co-operators will provide an update on this study and share additional learnings from its mental health initiatives.
The presentation is part of the March 20 event that will look at the primary challenge facing plan sponsors today – benefit plan cost.
Register now to be the first to hear about successful mental health initiatives and leading edge thinking on other approaches to benefit plan cost management.
Join our expert speakers, including Richard Heinzl MD, Global Medical Director from WorldCare International Inc., Sarah Dulong, Mental Health Claims Advisor and Roger Friesen, Director, Life & Disability Claims from Co-operators Life Insurance Company as well as Mike Sullivan, CEO & Co-Founder from Cubic Health at this Benefits and Pensions Monitor, Meetings & Events session.
