Vincent de Martel is a Solutions Strategist with Invesco’s Global Investment Solutions team focused on developing the North American market. Vincent brings a wealth of experience in both Solutions and Factor investing. Prior to Invesco, Vincent was instrumental in growing the BlackRock risk parity / multi-asset factor product range to $10bn as managing director and head of product strategy. Previously, he created and led the LDI business at AXA in Europe and was head of European LDI strategy at Barclays Global Investors. Vincent is a frequent commentator for risk parity and risk-managed solutions in the press and has worked with some of the world’s largest institutional investors. Vincent holds a Masters in Accounting and Financial Economics from the University of Essex, an MBA from EDHEC and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Kevin Zhu, CFA
Managing Director, Portfolio Construction
Kevin Zhu is Managing Director, Head of Portfolio Construction at OPTrust, one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension funds with net assets of over $20 billion. Kevin has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, including both central banking and total portfolio invest¬ment strategy design for large Canadian defined benefit pension plans.
Kevin joined OPTrust in 2016 where he currently leads Total Fund portfolio management functions, includ¬ing portfolio construction research and innovation, capital and risk allocation across asset classes and strategies, and dynamic overlay portfolio management. Prior to joining OPTrust, Kevin held the position of Director, Strategy & Asset Mix at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. Prior to this appointment, Kevin was Senior Economist at the Bank of Canada. He holds a BA in Business and Administration from Donghua University in China, a MA in Economics from Carleton University and is a CFA Charterholder. In 2017, Kevin was named to Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute’s Public Investor 100.

Russell Investments Canada Limited (RICL)
Adam Hornung is an Associate Director, Investment Strategy for Russell Investments Canada Limited (RICL) institutional business. Adam is a client portfolio manager to RICL’s fiduciary solutions clients and provides consulting advice on all aspects of investment programs including governance, strategy, investment policy, asset class structure and implementation. Adam is also the lead at RICL for the responsible investing practice and is a member of the Russell Sustainability Council.
With over a decade of experience, Adam is responsible for supporting clients on all aspects of their investment programs including governance, strategy, investment policy, asset class structure, manager selection, and investment implementation.
Prior to joining RICL in 2012, Adam was manager of the Treasury department at M.R.S. Trust Company, where he was responsible for corporate wide investment and risk management initiatives. As the primary investment manager of the corporate securities portfolio he focused on assessing and reporting on corporate wide risk, including credit, capital, liquidity, and interest rate risks. In this role, Adam also provided guidance in assessing new business initiatives as they relate to asset and liability management, and overall corporate risk management.
Adam has received an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University with concentrations in strategy and investment management.
